Katina Mitchell and Ines Thomé met in the Thornton Baroque Sinfonia early music ensemble at the University of Southern California. Connecting immediately over a mutual interest in both languages and music, they conspired to collaborate. Their interests range from art music of the 20th century to early music for lute and voice to folk and traditional music.
The ensemble has performed across the Los Angeles area and looks forward to a 2014-2015 season that includes performances in both Los Angeles and San Diego. Dedicated to outreach and community engagement, the duo has given performances at LA County's Central Juvenile Hall, several hospitals, several homeless shelters, and the Salvation Army.
